A Day of Rejuvenation and Self Care

Listen: Walking Meditation

0:20-0:30     

Participants are invited to walk around the room (where images and index cards reflecting self care are displayed) and select 3 cards that most closely reflects their values with regard to self care

•    Walking meditation instructions:

o    Without judging, be aware of your breath and pace

o    As you walk, begin to slow your pace and breathe

o    (optional) Recite to yourself a mantra with each breath (e.g. “I value”)

o    Invite participants to continue walking around the room and select 3 cards or images that most closely reflect their values with regard to self care

o    Try not to give too much thought to which cards are chosen: “listen” and let the cards “choose” instead
